So Sweet Sunday #3

Sorry I'm a tad late in posting this! Scott and I just got in from a super fun night out with a couple of dear friends--a much needed date night for us both! We enjoyed some delicious New York style pizza (and not in New York, if you can believe that) and then went to see Water for Elephants. It's been a long time since I've seen a movie that I remember liking so much. This film is, in all honesty, probably one of my favorites of all time. I always see the book in Barnes & Noble and end up passing over it because I've never had a clue what it's about, but I think I might have to make a trip to the book store and buy myself a copy. I love movies but always love the books behind the movies even more, so I can only imagine what an enjoyable read this story will be. Definitely a movie worth seeing in the theater!

Now on to our third So Sweet Sunday linky party! As always, I'd love to share with you a sweet piece of my week, which this time involved some Easer fun with my sister and her boyfriend. Oh, and we had a certain little munch-kin with us, but she didn't find us interesting for all that long:

Before
After... or more like 5 minutes later.

Yesterday's Easter fun involved making some pretty and delicious (that's pretty delicious!) Rice Krispie Treat Dipped Eggs. The whole process is simple and super fun--the perfect kitchen activity for children young and old. I know we've all seen the basic steps to this process portrayed on those cute Rice Krispie commercials going around this time of year, but I couldn't help taking my own pictures and making memories of the day.

Step 1: Make your Rice Krispie treat mixture.

Step 2: Gather plastic Easter eggs, sprinkles, and assorted melted chocolates.

Step 3: Mold your Rice Krispie treats to the inside of each plastic egg, pressing the egg closed for a perfectly compact shape.

Step 4: Remove Rice Krispie Treat eggs and dip one half into the chocolate of your choice.

Aw! Even their eggs are cute together! ;)

Step 5: Roll dipped eggs in sprinkles and allow to harden.

There you have it! A tasty Easter treat that also doesn't look too shabby adorning your counter as an Easter prop! Who doesn't love an edible decoration? ;)

It's your turn to show me what you've been up to this week! Feel free to link up as many times as you'd like, but please do remember to follow these few rules:
