Christmas Goodness

Our pretty tree... I love the way its glow lights up the room each day and night.

Our spunky, sweet little girl... posing for the camera in a way that only she can.

My attempt at a Veggie Tales Nativity Set gone bad--Emma is preparing the kitchen to cook up the veggie people and feed them to the animals...

... and here is the little town of Bethlehem after the massacre.

Emma is at the perfect age to enjoy the Christmas season--lights, decorations, presents and the birth of baby Jesus.

 Silly girl...:)

My beautifully festive and delicious birthday cake!

Our photogenic pup... love him.

"Re-decorating" the tree her own way...

Now matter how chaotic and stressful the holidays might get, it's pictures like these that bring me back to the heart of the season.

PS-- I was hoping to have a picture of Emma's first visit with Santa by now, but an awful stomach bug has been running rampant among the children of Hampton Roads. My girl already spent one evening barfing, in the middle of some brutal teething, so I'm thinking we'll steer clear of this year's lines to see the big guy in red. Maybe I can convince Grampa to rent a last-minute Santa suit and surprise his dear little granddaughter... just maybe... ;)

  1. I love these pictures! Especially the ones at the end where she has the silver Christmas ball in her hands. Plus the Veggie Tales story made me laugh... again! :)
