Baby Granny Square Blanket

It's true. I finished yet another baby blanket this week. This one will be going to someone else, but I surely would keep and love it. I had the center square completed from a while ago (up to the second baby blue round), and when I was asked to make a baby blanket as a gift I thought it would be the perfect starting point.  The colors are bright, fun and girly, and the flower accent in the center gives an extra
little something to admire.

I recently stumbled upon one of my new favorite blogs, Daisy Cottage Designs, where oodles of drool-worthy crochet patterns wait to be made. During my wanderings, I came across her version of a granny square baby blanket where she added a picot edging as an extra touch. Needless to say, I fell in love with this idea and used it for my own blanket!

After making two blankets in two weeks, I think I'm due to take a nice long break from big projects. Although, there is another unfinished granny square blanket I started for myself... lonely and abandoned in the corner, begging and pleading to be finished...

PS--If anyone is curious, I followed this free pattern from Lion Brand and made my own tweaks along the way!
