I can't tell you how excited I am to reveal Chloe's finished baby blanket today!
SO EXCITED!
If you read my post on deciding which pattern to make then you've probably figured out that I went with #2:
Deep down, I always knew this is the blanket I would choose. Not only is the main stitching completely beautiful and delicate, but the detailed edging ties in a look that has "girly" written all over it.
I'm all about trying to post helpful tutorials and tips for some of the projects I share, and the spiked edging on this blanket could definitely use one. It took my a little while to figure out the directions, but once I saw how it was supposed to work then the edging was really a breeze!
I'm in love! What say you?
If you're looking for a new baby blanket to crochet then I highly recommend this pattern. There are so many fun color variations to be done, and for being made with a smaller hook, it actually works up quite quickly.
I can't wait to snuggle Chloe up in it and "suck in her youth," as Frank Barone would say. One more week...

What a beautiful blanket!! I love the colors, the stitches... everything about it is amazing. Thanks so much for linking up at this week's Off the Hook!
ReplyDeleteLooks great. I tend to really like the looks of these simple projects that just let the yarn and color speak for them self. To bad they bore me to death while doing them...

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! I love how it came out! I especially love that although the colors aren't the traditional 'girl' colors, it still looks very soft and feminine. Tradition aside, I love blue for little girls! You did an awesome job on the blanket--now you just need the baby to snuggle up in it :-)
ReplyDeleteVery Beautiful! May I ask, what yarn did you use? It looks so soft!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful blanket. The colours are great too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great blanket and I want to wrap me up in it!! You did a great job...are you scheduled for one week. or just due?? I overcooked mine two extra weeks each of 3 times, probably because I'm a bit of a procrastinator and I'm usually late to things because I try to fit in one more thing!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
